Almera Tino newbie

Just thought I would say hi.
I own a silver 2002 Nissan Almera Tino SE 2.2 di
Got it on Monday to replace my 2005 Jaguar X type 2.0d sport. Its a bit different to the Jag (which is for sale by the way!!) but i needed a cheaper car as im buying a house so need to free up some cash so the jags gotta go!!
Anyway the tino has got 101k miles FSH up to 100k, mot till dec and tax till june. Its in ok condition but has a few scracthes and dents etc but the engine is immaculate. Picked it up for just over £900.
Luckily i am picking up tomorrow a non runner silver 1.8 petrol tino that the panels are all good, alloys unmarked with new tyres and half leather seats for £300. I will begin transferring all the panels over, alloys and seats! fun times!
couple of questions - my tino doesnt have rear elec windows but the donor does. As im swapping the doors will my tino have the loom in the b pillars for the elec windows? As in will it be plug and play with the door connector?
someone has fitted a pioneer stereo in it and it does not turn on/off via the ignition. you have to manually turn it off and on and doesnt need the key in the ignition. Ive taken the stereo out and someone has made a right mess of the wires. I can see there is an adaptor pluged into the original connectors but it seems the power/earth/ignition wires have been separated from the original connector and hard wired to the adaptor. Like i said the stereo works but not off the ignition!! you can turn it on and off with or without the key!
the 1.8 im picking up, the garage has said that it will start and drive sometimes as long as its stone cold! the moment it heats up and you turn it off it wont start again. He says there is no rattles and when it is running it idles and drives fine. Just sometimes it will not start and when it is hot it will not start at all.
To me this sounds like the cam sensor, could i be right?
Im hoping i can get it running, and after swapping all the bits i want off it, get 12 months ticket on it and sell it!!
If i see £300 back on it then my upgrades have cost nothing!!
