Knocking noise

I need to pick some brains again! Put my car through its mot last week and it needed an off side cv gaitor doing to pass. Other than that I got advisories for corroded springs, slightly corroded metal break pipe and surface rust on rear sills. Its a garage ive never used before but was recommended by a friend who puts his classic cars in there for work. Anyway in the weeks leading up to the mot ive been aware of a kind of knocking noise that would happen every now and then when cornering left. I have the radio on all the time so it might of been more often than I realised. Since the mot the noise appears to have got worse and it seems to do it more frequently. This is generally after you've driving more than a few minutes. I wondered that as the cv gaitor was knackered that its damaged the cv joint but itsnt that noise more of a clicking rather than knocking? Any advice is always greatly appreciated

CV joint failure is nore of a clicking as you say. It Could be wheel bearing at fault. I had a similar issue a while back. Changed the ball joint and cv joint and it didn't resolve it. Bearing felt fine with no play. Just decided to change it as a matter of trial and it sorted it :)
