I would be grateful if somebody here could put my mind at ease, I have just bought a 1.8 petrol mk1 N16 car as a donor vehicle for my 1.5 petrol Mk2 N16 as it needs steering rack, drive shaft etc. My research seems to confirm that running gear on the two vehicles are the same the only difference is that there are a few external cosmetic changes to lights , body etc.
As I have said I am having a last minute panic prior to picking it up so would be grateful if somebody could confirm that I will be ok in swapping parts for one to the other.
