Almeragt´s SR20VE Almera

That's all that matters.

I put my bucket in but it sat far to high for me, I want it to be as low as possible.

Yes, We have made custom seat brackets for Recaros and also have made some adjustments with the floor - We made lower custom floor braces, to have the seat very low /it was made last year /... That´s why Recaros are much lower and this seat is also only 2 cm higher than Recaros... so still much lower than OEM seat

few update from my side...
I have started this season with testing Almera vs Megane RS in the hills to have imagine, how fast it is... Almera did pretty - at the begining - acceleration of the Almera was the same as Megane RS, but Almera was little bit faster in the corners and better on the brakes. Than I decided to make Almera even lighter and I have removed all the asphalt sound deadening tar under the carpet. Last Saturday We were testing again and now together with 2x Megane RS Cup 265, Renault Clio RS Cup 200 with N/A 201 hp engine, VW Golf 7 GTi Performance with 275 HP powered engine. Almera was the fastest car in the hills, corners and was even faster in acceleration up to 200 km/h against my Megane RS Cup.
Great performance this day, but unfortunately my SR16VE gearbox was broken... We have found out that 3-rd gear was broken and main shaft was damaged as well, other things were O.K. I have to say that gearbox was in the car already 5-6 years and car is running in the hills or on the circuit only... Seems that very short FD and bigger power makes the gearbox suffering...
So I have decided to buy another SR16VE gearbox and used 3-rd gear and main shaft from that... Everything was checked, cleaned and assembled in Nissan. Fortunately my new bearings, MFactory 5.167 FW and MFactory diff was O.K., so We used it again! Gearbox is now assembled, my old friend in Nissan did it very well! I have changed the tranny oil and engine oil after 900 km - that is what the car ran this year... I have used Millers Oil CRX LS 75W90 NT Nanodrive to the tranny, and Millers CFS 10W50 NT Nanodrive to the engine...

than I have changed the tires and wheels. 5 Zigen wheels together with OZ´s were sold and I have bought:

Tires are semislick - AVON ZZR A64 in 215/40/17
Wheels - ATS DTC Superlight in black colour, 7.5x17, ET 40
I wanted to use 7.5 width of the wheels - suits much better to 215 wide tires and car works much better on the circuit/track and also on the street. I didn´t want to use 205 width tires, as the car needs grip... Together with MFactory diff and MFactory FD it´s amazing upgrade - one of the best so far!

And few pictures from today - after polishing, as I was preparing the car for tomorrow - as We have Nissan Meeting in Czech Republic...

wheels look good, I assume you're running spacers? I also run OZ wheels but the large offsets dont clear my brakes. I'm in the market for 17" wheels but the offset I want pretty much limits choice to wheels from the 90's out of japan (for their older RWD 4x100 cars)

yes, I´m running spacers many years, in order to clear the front brakes... I´m not sure, but think that spacers are 12 or 15mm...

Such a nice car and such a good build, wish i had that kind of money to play with my Vzr. Again mad props on the build mate.

Great meet!
We may come next year ,several P-chassis owners, I hope :)
I've heard you've got great places for hill climb...
Btw - you're welcome on our meetings too ;).

that would be Great! Yes, We have an excellent posibilities for hill climb / rally race...
Many thanks to all for the comments

I have also had to make some modifications:
  1. I had to replace OEM SR20VE oil filter housing, as was broken already 3-rd of 4-th time /I was changing for OEM part/ and I decided to fix it 100%. So I have bought filter housing from Autotech Motoring together with oil relocation kit, what is needed in this case /if you use Autotech Motoring part/. Bought from Greg, Gspec as always....

  2. This change also demands to change oil cooler lines wiring /don´t know if it´s the right word/. So oil filter is relocated in the front part of the car and Roman made custom oil filter mount.

  3. I have also decided to make custom air box, in order to close the filter into the AL box. We have wrapped AL box by Teknofibra – to keep the filter cool...

  4. I had to change the front tires, as AVON´s died in August... My choice were Pirelli P ZERO TROFE R – the best tires I had...

some updates for the new season - car is mostly used for circuit driving, hills:
I have sold ATS DTC Superlight wheels, as I want to use wider wheels and 235/40 R17 tires - to get more grip on the track...
I have sold also Bimarco Futura seats, as they didn´t fit me very well...
And I have sold also MFactory helical LSD

For the new season I will use:
- Forged, Team Dynamics Superlite wheels in 8x17 /made for Lotus/, with weight of 6.9 kg per Wheel
- semislick Toyo R888 R tires in 235/40/17
- Recaro Pole Position seats
- ppi ATS carbon LSD, mechanical /with initial torque of 15kg.m/
- some modification on my SR16VE tranny, as problematic 3-rd and 4-th gear was broken last year... I will get custom made gears 3-4 and 5 - shorter ones and stronger
- I have sold SR20VE engine as it was running in my car 4 season and around 25 thousand km... I´ m swapping SR20VE 20V engine

Now We are swapping SR20VE 20V with following specs:
SR20VE 20V
N1 cams
Xcessive intake manifold for 20V + modified by Jagy:
many thanks to Jagy, who custom made velocity stacks, intake is ported and polished together with runners...
Q45 throttle body from my previous VE
IACV valve from my VE
intake from my previous VE: AL 100mm intake with integrated MAF sensor - made by Jagy last year...
JWT filter by Jagy
thermal gasket for 20V
Nistune

I will not use 20V coils /it´s easier this way/
I will use N1 valve cover from my VE...
