Not happy

Ok iv been here a few months and have asked for help with audio issues but I must say the response has been very sad, no help what so ever from any one, I'm not the only one either just looking at the other posts that have no help, this forum is the worst iv ever used.

the interest in the forum here is, unfortunately fading away. the cars are becoming less and less.

It used to be a great forum. but people move on to bigger and better things. i still have my N15 but really only because i'd struggle to sell it on so when it dies, it dies I'm afraid.

yeah, and I'm thinking to start a n15 build. Wrong times I guess. Last year was pretty active.

Like all good things, it does eventually come to an end.
Almera's are getting few and far between. N15 are rusting away, and N16 are being tucked away in a pensioners garages, or getting scrapped due to timing chain issues.

you are 5-6 years too late unfortunately. The forum has been in steady decline for a while, taking the knowledge base with it, the power and ease of social media has pulled people away, its much easier and quicker to get responses on there now.

To be honest if you require information etc that can't be found on this forum as a topic that's already up, Facebook pages is the best place. I normally get answers within minutes if I have questions. Unfortunately the age of forums is dying if not already dead, and with cars such as the almera (very low numbers left on the road) they get hit the hardest. It's too easy these days to put your pics on your Facebook profile and ask questions on the fb groups. I used to love the forums and I still think their a great idea and the best place for information but there is a decline and unfortunately with younger people getting these cars that don't know the golden age of forums they simply don't come here. I must be honest and say I'm sad to see forums dying off as they are, but, on the other hand people lives are ruled by Facebook these days, their phones are permanently connected and you will get answers fairly quickly to queries and can connect with people far easier.

By your post saying that you've asked about audio issues I assume you must have an n16 as this sort of stuff gets asked a lot! If you can't find an answer on the forum by a search (on a computer as tapatalk is shit for searches!) then as others have said Almera owners (official) is the place to ask.

Guys, I'm getting GTI (or already have it when you reading this), and I've almost cried when read this post.. Because I've read tons of threads for almost whole night, and then I've found this thread, and haven't noticed that most of stuff been written 5 years ago :( I want to start tuning so bad, but I'm not a mechanical engineer. Most of language you've used is hard to understand. Most serious tuning I believe been done by @rowdy-GTi and.. I really would like to meet you pal on Facebook. Without your advices my project is impossible. Even if it will be one part per week.. that's ok :) For me almera n15 gti is extremely rare car, and I wish to restore it so well, that it wouldn't rust in years.. like old historical cars are restored nowadays.. my facebook is: Roman Gorodeckij (or holmsius)

Rowdy isn't on facebook.

The forum isn't very active but there is some good information on here, I've added you to the Facebook group as that's probably the best place to ask questions now.

Kids these days don't even know that "ducking aunt" is a terrible insult, let alone bother with forums when you can Instasnapbook your latest lunch to 2000 friends you've never met!

I've found reading old threads on this forum absolutely fascinating, so I hope the plug never gets pulled.
