Lol so it's just a case of swapping over the plugs then happy days

Yeah, had I waited till I had the ph2 connectors in hand I could have saved myself an hour or so looking at wiring schematics lol. Though if you look in the pics the ph1 wiring has two separate earths, one for the main&side light and one for full beam, but on the ph2 its a shared earth so I connected both the ph1 earth wires to the single ph2 one

/\ that might be the problem when the phase 2 had a recall. The wiring was too thin and burnt out inside the head lamp. I am not sure what the modification was to fix this problem but the head lights after the recall were perfect.

Recall on P2 lights was due to MOT alignment failure - I was selling them at the time - any road user who looked at a P2 headlamp pre recall was typically dazzled. They couldnt be aligned properly so stated failing MOT's left right & centre.

Just cos it's a nice gory picture, this is how to tell if you have pre-recall headlights...

Hey guys, just bought the DEPO headlights, but.. the wiring guide isn't working.. help? :(

I don't think the wiring guide has worked for awhile.

You'll need to connectors/plugs from a set of facelift lights, after that, cut off the ones on your car, and attach the new plugs wire by wire - colour to colour. There's usually one spare earth left over, so connect that to any metal part of your car. It sounds complicated but it's really simple. I've done mine and I'm completely new to electronics. Feel free to ask any questions

Ok thanks! Tommorow I will go to the scrapyard and pick them up! Wanted to do that when i bought them but it was already closing time :(. I will keep an update on the install! But I will in an other thread.

I think getting int change to PH2 headlights it's like too shoot into your knee. Besides they look a little modern than PH1, the quality of them and light stream is horrible. I have 2 almera (PH1 and PH2) and PH1 was much more better.
I made a small restoration of my PH2 lamps. I cut on laser CNC adapter and put other projector light into place of the stock one - problem solved.

Hello. I'm not sure if anybody will respond to me because I'm so late but I have problems. I have led lightbulbs in my p2 n16 and they are very dim so I'm asking if there is a easy/cheap Solution to the problem.
