Almera N16 Ph2 Headlight bi-xenon retrofit

Hi my friends,

I want to share my bi-xenon retrofit that I made approximately 1,5 years ago. I replaced my original Koito H7 halogen projectors with new generation Hella bi-xenon projectors(OEM part for BMW 5-series(F10), MB E-Class(W212) ).

Our headlight:

After melting silicone of headlight and dividing lens from headlight body(with heat gun):

Note: Because of our cars is LHD in Turkey, head light wall pattern is different from RHD cars. :)

Wall pattern must be like this in UK:

yeah exactly that, the washer part is easy but the auto levelling isn't as easy, i have looked at ways to use a gyro to tie into the existing adjustment system but i haven't got so far along as it's not a big deal for me to swap out my hid retrofit kit at mot time

Indeed, it isn't allowed using xenon headlights without auto levelling and washer also in my country(Because of ECE standards) . But our cars are controlled once every two years. And I will go there with halogen bulbs.

In traffic, it is not a problem. Because my headlights don't disturb anybody. And 4300K xenon's color is similar to halogen's color. As you said, automatic levelling is a big deal.

How did you fit the Hella projector? Hella is bigger than the original crappy Koito projector.

I did this on N15 lamps a while back. Completed one but never got round to doing a matching pair. hmmm

Nice mod! I'm thinking about doing this and I have 2 questions:
1: The xenon itself has low and high beam? So you don't need the h7 high beam anymore? You could connect it to make it low beam too so when you use the low beam both bulbs are lightning?

2: Could you please take a pic of the headlight to see if is easy for police to notice you are on xenons?

Sorry about my english I know its not the best around :)
