N15 Series 2 Sedan

Yeah it's bloody good for a first go, at least it's better then my attempted. I've just been using Supercheap Primer, Autobarn Colour Match Paint and Septone Clear Coat.

Just wanna know what you use cause I can't get the glossy look whereas yours looks pretty shiny.

Cheers mate.

Don't get me wrong, I'm been spraying stuff for a long time, but this was the first time I did something that big. I used to use a supercheap export primer, a colour match aerosol from Autobarn (AutoPro over here in WA), and a KH or 3M clear coat in an aerosol, but the finish wasn't the best. I really struggled to get the super glossy finish of the rest of the car. On the bootlid I actually used a proper air compressor, water trap, regulator and a gravity fed gun with proper thinned acrylic paint. I still used the supercheap export primer, but I also got a can of clear coat and sprayed it properly with the gun.

I think you can get a heaps better finish with a gun, but there is a fair amount of skill involved to get it right. I'm not 100% happy with the finish on the clear coat, but I guess I can only get better from here.

So... today I bought Pulsar number 3...

After looking locally and interstate for a while, I was lucky enough to stumble across one last night... So first thing this morning, I hooked up the grandad's car trailer, and took the Ranger for a drive. 550 kms later I got this:

It's a little crinkled in the rear, but the important bits are still good... Eventually, I will take the SR20 out of this one, give it a proper clean and rebuilt and bolt it into my sedan for some SR20 goodness... I'll be staying Naturally Aspirated to start with, but ultimately I'd like to bolt on an SR16VE head...

Probably won't happen for a couple of months, but I'm really excited myself.

Cheers
Chris

P.S. The Ranger is an amazing tow vehicle...

Wow that is cool, that is the ultimate find. if u are thinking of selling some parts let me know :)

I was stoked! I found it just south of Perth... I could be interested in selling some parts. Most of the bit I'd like to keep for my brother's car, but there might be some parts left...

My coilovers arrived yesterday. I was hoping that they would be here before the weekend so I could install them, but that didn't happen... So hopefully, all going well, this weekend I will be able to install them.

A big thanks to my brother for helping me install my YellowSpeed coilovers today. By far one of the best mods I've done to my car...

So far the ride is really good, it's improved the handling heaps, and I finally dropped it a couple of inches.

Pretty happy with how it looks and handles! More photos to come.

So good.

But either drop the front 20mm or raise the rear.

Yes, Chris, just yes! As Ed said, Drop the front and raise the rear a touch and she'll be sitting pretty.

All you're missing are some of these :p

I think I might need to wind the rears up a tad. It's weird, the pic makes it look like it's sitting up at the front, but its actually a little bit lower at the front. Must be the huge front wheel arches...

Grrrr, haha I knew you would post up a pic of them... Very jealous. I really like how they fit. Look like a nice shape too...

They fit perfect. Almost as though they were made for it :p

Genuine Nissan part and all, no part numbers printed on them though. Either that or there's something out there with an incredibly similar shaped back bumper

Funny that! haha. I've seen other parts which fit onto the rear bar, but they do look pretty convincing.

You going to keep the tape there for the extra 10bhp?

Only for they came off a saloon vzr here with a full autech kit I'd think otherwise but they fit too well to the side and underside for them not to be genuine. I'll get some more pics later in the week for you.... And yes of course, I'll also be running some stripes Down The side for maximum bhp :p

Hahaha good to hear!

Pics would be great. Some overall shots of your car would be even better! :p
