hi mate, thanks for a reply, i have checked the connections on back of audio unit, and on key barrell, nats unit, just dont see why it sometimes works fine and other times it just doesnt respond to any buttons pressed, i cant help think it is something to do with the key coding system in some...

hi guys, i have just bought a 2003 model tino, and it has an intermittent error on the radio, sometimes when i start the car the radio works fine with no problems, other times it freezes and doesnt respond to any buttons pressed, if left for a while it will eithe rwork or come up with the secure...

if they are the capless type of bulb they just pull out without turning.

well its done 82k so far with a fsh, so never know it may have been done at some time previously, dont suppose theres any tell tale sign to see if its been done other than stripping bits off it?

thanks mate, bought it from the garage in the piccy too, amazing as most garages just sell crap always tatty cars and needing lots doing, but this was too good to believe really, so theres hope for small garages yet i suppose its done 82k with fsh, cost me 1400.00, seemed a good buy to me.

im sure ive read somewhere the pre 02 models were prone to chain problems but later cars are improved reliability, mines a 04 so heres hoping then?

so that in mind, whats the usual mileage for failure and are we talking chain snapping/break or just rattling its head off ?

thanks tw33k, my thinking is reading about timing chain failure on some of these, best to keep the oil clean and changed regular to prevent any wear, i beleive the chain problem is mainly due to lack of oil changes .
