Yeah, the Lucino grille's have the badge on the right hand side i think.

But yes, it looks far better than standard, trying to decide whether it needs a badge or not though
 
What spec are you having for the exhaust 2’ or 2.25’ and how much?
make sure the decat can be unbolted come mot and not a one piece pipe to the rear box.

It'll be a 2.25" pipe with a 3" end on it, they're doing it for £400 and yes the decat will be bolt on/off

The AAS man said £420 at first but after a short chat put it down to £400, so yeah, £60 for the decat.

And the grille's do look similar, i didn't want the Lucino one because of the badge so I was very happy to pick this one up. Such a cheap mod but makes a vast amount of difference.
 
Spent some time cleaning the car yesterday so thought i'd post some pics up.

It's amazing the amount of stone chips are on the car so a call to the man that knows a man is on the cards. Looking to get a few things repaired on it, theres a crack on the rear bumper that i've found, a small scrape on the rear passenger side, a million an 1 stone chips as well as a couple of nasty scratches so as long as it won't cost too much i'll add it to the things to do.

16 days and counting for my exhaust :D
 
looking tite bud, i like that grille too its different. am i the only one left with a stnd grille now argh haha

Why did u go too all the bother of masking letters all u need too do is paint on ur colour when it drys block sand down the letters too the metal and then laqure the whole cover and then it looks like the vzr n1 factory job. iv just done my gti in the dark vzr n1 colour and it looks sweet. done my s15 the same way.

This was the first way that came to mind, never really thought about doing it any other way.

Still looks good though, thinking about maybe spraying the strut brace and heat shield the same colour. Not sure if i like the idea or not yet though.

Back to Black for tyre walls. I just buy new tyres :D

Ahhhh, i suppose they could do with looking better. I'll get right on the case :)

I noticed the coolant seems to be very low and was told just to bang some water in there. Is that the case or should i buy some special stuff from somewhere?

Water is fine...as long as it has anti-freeze already in it

But to be sure i would do a 50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze in this weather i wouldnt risk just putting in water

I've not posted anything in my thread for a while so heres a few updated pics just to show you guys where she's at.

I've been to AAS and had the cat back custom system but didn't go for the decat, wish i did now but oh well. Other than that i've added the suteki style indicator vent, bought from the Smog Monster SmoggyGTi and a cool as f*ck SR20 inside decal :cool: which has pride of place on the front end. I also needed some new rubber on the front so went for the Toyo T1R which came to £100 fitted from North Eastern Tyres and Exhaust.

I've had a couple of scrapes over the last couple months too :mad: I'm looking to get them sorted but, as they say, it's all about the benjamins baby!

That's about it for the moment. I'm looking to replace the Pipercross cone filter with either standard air box and K&N pannel filter or a K&N\Apexi cone filter, also looking to sort the manifold out with a stainless ebay special or back to AAS. I'm going to try and tidy the engine bay up with a stainless intake pipe, colour code the HT leads to match the silicone pipe i'll use with the intake pipe. Hopefully if i actually get myself to the next meet the all mighty Wezz will sort me out by advancing my timing, W00t!

lookin awesome mate, especially the exhaust, nearly went for AAS myself but they miles away, so i went MIJ, both really good it seems, good having a mint system innit! :D

as for filter, definitely go with the apexi i'd say, i have a k and n - it sounds good but i'm not sure the performance is there compared.

i would think an AAS manifold would be uber expensive bud, an ebay special might be better option, unless you're feeling flush!

and defo find a decent size decat too, otherwise your AAS system and mani are srtill being restricted.

what AAS system you go for? what size? mandrel or crush bent?

AAS quoted me £375 for the manifold and it's not like i have that just lying around so ebay here i come (eventually). As for the size and type, i believe it was a 3" bore with mandrel but don't quote me on that, i can't even remember what i was doing yesterday never mind what happened months agao :D
