N15 GTi Track Car

wow its not often i get to save rowdy-gti porn pics lol good to see some GTi owners know what polish is eek haha
you know what im gunna say.......................... black gloss door mirrors ftw :)

hhmmm the ph2 bodykit version front bumper must of had a completely different bumper grille as your centre thing runs the full length, never ever noticed.

how are you finding th KU31's Ian, ive not long put a set on and find them really good. grippy and very quiet at speeds. i say quiet as the old avon av3's where noisey as hell - hated them.

Thanks guys! lol @ Tommo!

David:Yeah the KU31s are a good tyre, they seem to last well as my current set has done silverstone and oulton park and still have some meat left. T1Rs are grippier but dont last as long. I did Naylors trick with the polish...applied it and left it on for the car wash to remove to a brilliant shine.

What profile have you got Ian? They look spot on, not too skinny you'd feel every bump, but thick enough for just enough tyre flex.

Haha.... 205/40/16

What polish did you use and what do you mean by car wash?

I just used that T-cut with the red colour added ( to cover the stone chips! ), left the polish on over night then took it to an automated/drive through brush type car wash and just let the machine do the polishing!....it left a few patches but did the donkey work for me.

Ok yeah when you said car wash I thought that was what you meant.

I would never EVER put any of my cars through one of those even though my current gti's covered in scratches and far from mint. I've seen scratches and stuff inflicted by them that you just wouldn't believe.

40's! Wow. Looks like hardly difference at all to mine, prolly due to the stretch I've got equaling it out.

How'd you find the harder springs on the road bud? I went 5/4 and Im thinking of gettin some 8's for the front and swapping the 5's to the rear as these are maybe a wee bit too soft for "fast road".

<hijack>I don't understand why profile is often refered to only in the percentage because 195/40, 205/40 and 215/40 for example are all different profiles :p</hijack>
...back to teh sex that is Ian's track slag :D

Springs feel fine, doesn`t feel much different to the softer diayamas tbh.

passenger ride pleez

That can be arranged, and if the tracks not long emough to stretch her legs then i know a private race track pretty close by to use ;)

looking nice rowdy, always thought it could do with some spacers but from my experience with them they make the cars handling worse so it would be a step backwards then.
A mate has tried a bend on his rear beam on his P11, not sure how it will work out as his cars been off the road about 5 years and seems to be getting no further forward lol.

I leave my waxes and sealants on overnight sometimes but I dont use a carwash to get it off lol!.

Good meeting you today Ian..
And good to finally experience the legend itself.
Your car stands as inspiration to all of us, you don't quite realise until you've experienced it in the flesh.
Its no longer just an Almera GTi.. Its a fully built, fully track prepared, tinkered and improved monster, and after all the time and effort you've put into this... You deserve all the fun it gives you out on the track :D
(even if its your private track ;))
Definitely an inspiration.
I'd say its even a kick in the arse for the rest of us :)
By the way.. You set the third fastest lap today, above both the Subaru's ;) closely followed by MR love god and myself.
Great day!
Joe

^I still don't understand why there's more support for the Micra than the Almera in everything :/ That's just another example.

Micra's are used in Rally's and Junior race series alot, never seen any K12's though.
