My New GTi finally...

well, i am not too worried about tires in the wet or dry.. cause my uncle who is a rally driver in Malaysia (Karamjit Singh) said that, even if u have the most expensive tires, you are never safe on wet road. :) But nevermind.. i will be safer next time! No quick sharp corners at 50mph!

lol i love driving mine round bends in wet , but that may be to do with owning a mk4 astra before my gti , which handled like a baot compared to mera.
had some scary moments in astra , mera yet to scare me that much .

I personally find toyos wear to quick , all about avons personaly

Depends on how much you want to spend :)

In order of price / performance

Lowering springs - £100
Lowering springs and uprated shocks - £300
Coilovers - £600

Lowering springs give a slightly firmer ride, the car sits lower so the center of gravity is lower too but overall it's mainly cosmetic. Uprated shocks are stiffer and work better with the springs to improve handling, infact EdK said uprated shocks without lowering springs made a huge difference to his car's handling. Coilovers are the ultimate in adjustability and handling, I can't really say much about these though as I've never driven a car with them on :p

GTi shocks and gmax springs have given my almera a massive imrpovement on the feel and stability and cornering!

fine untill i get SR20 and want coilovers
