If you just want a change then finish them in gunmetal or black :thumb:. Save your money on the discs too as the N16 has pretty powerful brakes as standard. Uprated pads will give an increase in performance if that's what you're after but keep the standard discs

Gun metal all the way Black alloys are really bad as brake dust shows up really easily

also as for brakes upgrade the pad as edk said and get Braided lines with 5.1 fluid and you will be :D
 
yeh its a mint little thing! was considering a respray black but when I saw it in person I was like naww!

Question time!

I modded my door panel to fit new speakers.. used the guide up about modding speaker pods on the n15 as a basis. And reworked it for the sport+ ( there speakers pods dont come off.. the whole panel is welded together instead of screwed )

However the finish is crap no matter how much i sand it. Ive used filler to give it a nice shape but the spray job comes up crap as in you can see the contours of the sanding even after using the finishing paper to smooth it down.

Father has suggested Filler primer.

I thought of fibreglassing the whole thing then filling it all over...

Any other suggestions?
 
Ok im gonna get a SS exhaust system. But i dont want something TOO loud.. I dont particulary wanna fall in with the saxo crowd who have back box's bigger then there cars. Im after something with alot of growl.. not a screaming child hehe. Any suggestions of pipe size+tailpipe i should go for? Any thoughts would be great! :D
 
2 1/4" with a Magnaflow backbox and 200cell sports cat. That'll keep the noise down and give a nice sound under throttle.
 
tad concerned that the sports cat and new system might fail mot emissions? anythoughts as I know liams abit dubious about his passing hehe
 
If it passes, it'll be marginal I think. Although it's a new & relatively efficient cat, it does only have half the previous ability to keep emissions down. So it's probably down to how well the car is running (mixture-wise).

As for the exhaust, if an MOT fail worries you then why not keep the existing header & cat. You can still have a perfectly legal cat-back & release a few ponies. For me, the 2.25" system is what I asked for & got. But it really was bloody loud & droney until I had them change the rear box for a bigger one. So compared to Liam's zorst, mine will be quieter & not so free-flowing. But I can live with that as it doesn't give me a headache or attract any extra attention. Horses for courses dude ! :)
 
See that i have yet to decide. Im torn between Twin japstyle exhausts like liam has but obviously one on both sides.. as for the rest.. Maybe a carbon fibre tipped one i think that'd look mint with my blue paint. I dont think a fat chrome one would suit me. But what would be peoples opinions :D


Btw - Quick question:- Looking at picking up a N15 2.0ltr. For a complete stripdown and rebuild the entire shabang. My little project for 2011. What would be a good one to look for. I see alot of SRI/GTI/GTI-R ect and well none of that means much to me ;) So would someone enlighten me or hand out some advice on which would be best for modifying? And has the most gadgets to start with hehe

SRI = a N15 1.6 Litre 3/5 door derivitive

GTI = N15 2Litre 3 Door

GTI-R = N14 4wd 2Litre turbo known as a Pulsar


U probably want a GTI... loads about check pistonheads..
 
Okeys given her a good polish today! Tomorrow i'll be sorting out the debadging! Fingers crossed there isnt too much fading underneath them. Any suggestions on some GOOD light tinting spray? I wanna avoid halfrauds at all costs if possible. Will get some pics up once its been done :)
 
Hey boys and girls! Its been a long time but in between losing one of my 3 jobs the mera took a back burner as money was tight *sadface* A few months ago I got offered another 3rd job ( Yes Im addicted ) Since then I saved a few pennys and invested in this sexy little number

Shes a 1998 323i SE. With most of the goodies included ^_^ Full leather aswell <3 For a tidy 550 + 100 for parts. Taxed till end of Nov and MOT till March! I couldnt say no.

Anyway this means my lovely blue mera will be going soon sadly =[

She needs alittle TLC to bring her back to glory mostly paint work related. She'll be sold off come end of august as my insurance montlys are all paid so im keeping her for the NCB and as a spare motor till then :D

However if theres ANY interest do drop me a line on here and ill try and get back ASAP. Figured I'd let you lot know first considering the help you've all given me in the past! And I will miss you guys but I just fancied something alittle more.. Sexier? Haha.
