Hi everyone. Busy getting the n15 gti ready for the mot at the moment. Unfortunately one of the brackets on the cat broke off which in turn due to excess movement has sheared off the centre section just about half an inch before the flange where it attaches to the backbox which was rusty anyhow. So will need the section from the cat to backbox replaced. Only found out today so havent had a chance to price around, anyone have any idea of what i should pay for one? How much from the nissan dealers? Also would one from a different almera fit?
Have never put a car through the uk MOT so not really sure what they look for, have a few bits of rust which il be getting sorted and discs/pads only other thing i can see is that the dustcovers which are located betweeen the piston and coil (not sure if this is the correct name) and attach at the top of the body of the shock and go up into the strut are all perished. The shocks seem fine, none of them look wet, one is new. Just wondering if the car would fail due to these rubbers being shredded, car handles fine etc. Front elbow/downpipe looks fine, no blows. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks very much for the help
