1998 GTi ball front ball joint

hello there,
have jus collected the almera from the garage after its MOT. passed, 126000 and still strong! got an advisory for a slightly worn ball joint on the drivers front though. have never had anything to do with these before, was jus wondering if anyone could shed any light on where to get the parts, and whether it is a big job or not? the man at the garage said something about it may be riveted so the whole bottom arm would require replacement?
any advice on this subject would be much appreciated. thank you.

from my memory of looking under kez's, yeah the whole arm has to be replaced, as for where, nissan, or a motor factors

cant remember the exact price, but it was something llike 120 for one side and 160 for the other i beleive,

hi the bottom ball joint you can get off e bay or a motor spares shop like halfords or andrew pages or your local motor factor and its a very easy job to do

i got both front arms with new ball joints and bushes for £80 of ebay.. may aswell just do the whole lot then you have nice shinny new bits under there :D

£10 a side and as rowdy says they are press fit with circlip on top!

your decision really do you need a full new arm or do you just need a BJ
