My max bid was £700, and yes i paid £567 for it. My thinking being the prices cant go any lower, only gain for good examples now.

and as you say, the fewer there are the more likely it'll be you can start upping the price

but of course you won't sell this one now will you!
 
Did a little work today.
New door card fitted.
Resonator boxes removed.
I also took the old bumper off, no nasty surprises underneath, but what a shoddy repair the bodyshop must have done a few years ago! The bumper, which had split in the bump, was simply joined, glued and riveted back together, hence why it now needed to be held together with gaffer tape!
The front cross member has now been undersealed and the new bumper fitted.......i just need a new p1 splitter or maybe a SRi/vzr type black one.

Shame you couldnt attempt a fix on the splitter you have, if not you could try the generic chav item; Renault Laguna splitter. Peanuts on ebay and they suit P1 bumpers really well.

Also, i've got the top half of a gen 5 hotshot manifold in my shed. You know you are going to modify the GTi so the offers there. That is all.
 
The splitter is broken in about 4 places Tommo, so not really an option....i`ll think about the HS header..thanks.
 
Went to fit a proper gti steering wheel today..........i found this on the old wheel:

Wot no airbag! lol.

I should have noticed that there was no airbag light coming on.... all the wiring had been bodged to the horn and the wires cut to the airbag.
