So here goes for my thread. Today i put the deposit down on a P2 '99 Gti in black. very clean for its age. 77K on the clocks, completely unmodified, even the radio is the original i think. i know i wanted a red one but black fits my plans just as well. will be picking it up in a week then will get propper pictures before i do anything to it.

will only be on the road for a week and then its goin at the back of the drive to have any rust issues sorted (isnt many) and to be undersealed and cleaned, then its onto adding my personal touches. gotta save up for insurance etc so may be a while before it gets back on the road but some serious money balancing is on the cards mainly because i got it to drive not to gather dust.
on a side note have priced up to have a garage built where my old one was and should be around 2k for a decent pre-fab concrete one
