Rear seats and seatbelt laws?

I've taken the rear seats and seatbelts out of my Pulsar but I was wondering if anyone knows the Laws on MOT's for cars with the rear seats removed as there's quite a few peole on here running stripped out N15's!

Will it pass an MOT without rear seatbelts? They are quite heavy and i'm trying to bring the weight down so it was one of the things I figured won't get used as i'd never have anyone in the back.

If I were to re-fit the rear seats to keep the noise down, do I also have to re-fit the seatbelts as technically it's a 5 seater but with only front belts?

Basically if i'm driving round with the rear seats fitted and get pulled up are they going to fine me for having no belts?
What have other N15 owners done?

If there are no seats, you don't need belts.

If you get stopped with the seats in, unless its by VOSA then I wouldn't think a copper would be bothered.

Yeah it will pass no problems with seats/belts removed.. I ran stripped for a while and left the bolt holes open & they got abit rusty. Make sure you put a bolt in the holes where you remove the seatbelts with some copperslip or something :)

As for driving around with rear seats in place/no seat belts in place thats abit iffy. Remove it all?

Get some acoustic carpet in the rear or something if your worried about it being ugly

Thanks, i've replaced all the seatbelt bolts already.
I think i'll risk it and just re-fit the rear bench to keep it looking clean and to keep the noise down.

I got an advisory for having no rear seats and rear seatbelts. I can only assume i got this as it's registered as a 5 seater.
