Heater blower not working

The heater blower on my 2003 almera 1.5 petrol is not working on any speed. A few months ago whilst driving the blower stopped the next day it began to work again. It stopped again today. Ive checked the motor by connecting to a battery and it works fine. The fuse is ok. Any advice would be appreciated.

A friend suggested that the fault could be caused by a relay. Does any one know if there is a relay in the heater motor circuit and where it is located. Ive checked in the Haynes manual. It does show the relay locations but doesn't say anything about their function.

Did it just stop or lose some speeds first? may be the resistor card gone if it did-had to put a new one in the fabia a bit ago as it was it's week for something to go wrong on the Skoda
