G's Vzr N1

As you kept going I would imagine the bearings will have made their way all through the engine and up into the head, if you plan to reuse anything it will all need cleaning THOROUGHLY

I have a 16ve crank you can have if you need it.

and a better option still if you are interested, depends how you wish to proceed.

Oh wow, yeah that's done,

Pop the rocker cover off and have a check of the cam lobes for any wear.

It sounded off right from the start though, I'd figure the oil pumps failed, from the sound between the gear change.

Anymore videos from earlier in the evening?

Yeah have a longer vid from most of the night, and you can hear tappy noise, when driving in lower gears...

didn't hear anything inside the car, so was surprised to see what the camera picked up..waiting for my cousin to upload it..

hmm interesting,

removed oil today, as thought will give sump removal a go...

anyway first to the oil...day after getting it recovered home, checked the dipstick again, and it showed nothing, so I bunged in 3 ltrs of oil and didn't check level with dipstick, just started checking other stuff...

so when I've removed the oil today, was expecting maybe a bit over 3 ltrs, but not a bit over 5ltrs !!

so looks like there was still around 2 ltrs in the car but wasn't registering on dipstick...

now to the removed oil, it was just dirty oil, but clean otherwise, no bits of metal filings or anything not even a tiny bit...

back to sump removal...damn I stuck it on too well, as it's being a right pita to remove, any tips?

Get a paint scraper or something similar you can get in between the sumps and tap it along the length, try not to bend the lip of the pan, expect about 3/4 of a litre to be in the sump pan.

Rocker cover has been off..posted a pic in here earlier..nope even tried pushing the socket handle with my foot to get better force on it...wouldn't budge...I gave up after that...didn't want to make things worse

Pic of rocker cover off is 3 pages back..

Argh I've just seen this!!! Gutted G... The video had me covering my eyes and ears man fuck!!!
I've done 2 sets of bearings but never leaned on an SR while it's sounding like that! Cringe worthy.
Sell me the car lol

Lol I was covering my ears to when hearing the video ..as you heard none of that whilst driving...which is the gutting part

Well I'd say it's definitely span a bearing if not a few, it happened to my first SR, was totally random and was just down to years of abuse and probably wear!
As others have said I would confidently say the crank is scrap, and possibly 1 or more rods will be too.
You need to get the sumps off and check its not snapped a rod or anything worse inside, good luck man!
I also have a set of 16ve crank / rods if Sam doesn't have the rods.
Joe

Yes sir, for a bearing to go like that its been worn for a long time, possibly even knocking for a while.

Going to want to strip the oil pump down and inspect. I have a spare pump here.

All the big bits found from removing first sump..

as said not even gonna waste time removing more bits to check...be simpler once engine is out...

Also gonna go n 2.0 ltr it...so gotta find a nice 20ve bottom end...and also find a helping hand to remove engine...as not removed one, on my own before..
