My new red 99 GTI

Hi lads, thought i would post a few pics and show progress...

Picked this little gti up with 56k miles in red, has a few bits need sorting but has no rust on arches or behing carpets :)

This is how i got it like a tractor lol, since then fitted daiyama coilovers, vzr lights and grill, arm rest, painted wheels matt black, clear repeaters, stainless manifold and cat back system, advanced timing to 19*, naca vent in bumper, rear strut brace as it didnt have one, new tyres.

Cheers, Mark

Looks good. Like the duct idea, although would be better black or even colour coded.

They tie in with the red and black though.

I coulour coded the naca duct and fitted heko wind deflectors today :) and put my pipercross foam filter back on and 100% conclusion is much more feel of power than with standard box and feed (apart from smoother).

and another cold air feed from brake duct...

Cheers lads :)

Yeah arches are all good. A bit of a scuff on one of them though.

Engine bay isnt anything special, im going to clean it up though.

Its much faster than my old blue and silver gti's ( must be the red david ;) ) the black autech was quick though so not sure

You've transformed that! Looks awesome. Nice and subtle is all that is needed!

You managed to find another one under 60k miles too! Bet there are very few of those!

Did vzr tail light mod today looks much better.

Used the twin filament bulb and holder from phase 2 lights, cut and joined wires to original fog hole (enlarged with file and blade) then ran a wire either side from number plate light :)

When using double wire (twin filament) holder the wires were opposite (so green w/ white stripe to sidelights wire and green /w yellow stripe to normal loom green w/ white stripe wire)

So now have sidelights and fog. Well happy :)

would probably look nice on p2's done this way anyone tried?
