Yeah im going to look at the drainage in the lower panel and maybe drill holes in the bottom of those bits

Don't drill holes! If the chassis is designed anything like the K11 then that just drains directly into the cabin

I will only drill them if the lower part has drainage and no holes through to inside. Didn't get a chance to have a look today
 
As I was removing the intercooler piping I noticed oil residue in the pipes, which is normal but the fact it has metal shavings in it isn't. Guess I won't just be reusing the turbo

New one in the garage. A lot of work to do yet though, really looking forward to doing it will be a few months before it's back on the road

could just be a bad batch...

depending on how the pressure plate has worn I would just get a new disc for it. Id go with a B15 disc.
£50/60 from Nissan.
 
The pressure plate looks fine. Where's the best place to get one ? Do you think a Standard style disc with the stronger pressure plate would be ok ?
 
will be fine, thats essentially what the gspec stage 3 clutch uses.

Or you could go for an Action Clutch disc
