I got one day last week to get some jobs done to the car, first off i ripped out the old carpet becuase i felt like going for ashower everytime i got into the car it was that filthy and there was 2 holes in the carpet from previous owner's heels digging into it.
IMG_0775.JPG

I didn't get too many pictures as i was rushing to get it done inbetween the rain showers.
Out came the seats and centre console.

Anyone want a "vintage" gummybear? I will post it free of charge!! LOL

Got the old carpet out and started cleaning it out.

And my highlight of the day... I found €3 under the back seat and I also found a few ladys fake nails but I don't want to think about how they got there.......

I didn't get any pics of the after but i will the next day i'm out at it.
I insured and taxed it last week and was driving it for a few days but if any of you have seen my other thread i just have a problem to sort out before i can take it for long spins. So hopefully it will be fixed soon so i can test it and enjoy it more.

Came home this evening and was excited to see my " overnight parts from Japan" arrived lol,
There was nothing special really just a replacement indicator lamp for the p/s i got for 1000yen and two phase one fogs i got for 3000yen and what i think is a bargain a brand new genuine rotor and dist cap for 5500yen on yahoo auctions.

Why phase 1 fog's? as opposed to phase 2 and are you planning on taking the sound deadening out? because that is 1 shite job.
mind you i should have used dry ice or similar.

I got phase ones because they were cheap and they will be getting a yellow tint so hopefully won't be too bad.
No sound deadening is staying, sounds like a ballache of a job to remove.

laminex best option, i have used the glass paint and it fades over time and flakes off.

Not much happening lately with the car due to work and funds so just a quick update to where i am at the min and hopefully will get a bit more done the next week or so.

If anyone has seen my other thread i have been having a problem with getting the car driving properly so hopefully will get that figured out.
First thing i did was change the fuel pump which was a fairly easy job without any problems but that didn't cure it.

Old pump and cradle out the tank.
IMG_0804.JPG

New pump installed into housing, it was bigger than the factory one but still went in faily tight. Was really handy that the factory nissan wiring plugger straight into the new pump.
IMG_0808.JPG

Also replaced the distributor cap and rotor with genuine items and still no difference, old part looked worn tho so not a wasted effort.
IMG_0814.JPG

IMG_0815.JPG

Also replaced the p/s indicator and found more shoddy wiring.
IMG_0813.JPG

IMG_0812.JPG

Lastly took out the rear wiper as it didn't work and i never use them anyway and covered the hole with a old stem cap i had off my bike and a spacer. Came out fairly ok tbf.

Hopefully will have a few more updates during the week.

Lately i have been buying parts in Japanland, mainly a full set of nearly new Tein coilovers since they are incrdibly hard to find and second hand set here, I got them for a great price but the only downside is the long wait to get them shipped.
Also manged to find a Bad Moon racing exaust system for the mad price of €21 which i couldn't refuse and a JIC bucket seat that was cheap so looking forward to getting them.

And a few pics i got sent before the items get packaged for shipping.

Today i spent a few hours changing a few of my engine mounts for prothane ones.
The old ones were bolloxed anyway and after meeting Lucinovzr who is a sound fella when i was getting a stock back box off him, he mentioned that bad mounts could also have something to do with the issue i have been having with the car.
started with the driverside mount, then did the dogbone and gearbox mount and i'll try get the rear mount done tomorrow.
The old mounts didnt take much to get out a few taps with a hammer and chisel and they flew out and they were in a failry bad way so happy that i am changing them.

You should get onto patjoe o connell and mike twomey they have heaps of pulsars for breaking.

That badmoon has been modified the tailpipe has been extended from the rear box by the look of it an n1 came in with that exhaust on it before. The actual size of the opening on the tailpipe is massive on them 4 inches I think.

I've got stuff off both of them before but they didn't have much left the last time is asked.
Yeah tailpipe looks long but will be shortened if need be when i get it.

Got cracking this morning with the rear mount, thought it would be easy and fast but I never realised i would have to remove the centre brace but it was easy enough.
The old mount was definately the worst of the lot, it had basically collapsed on itself so the job was defo worth doing.

IMG_0928.JPG

Burnt the old one out to make it a little bit easier.

Prepare for the vibration's...i went for all 4 and although was awesome the vibration's got ridiculous after awhile.

Front and rear is good enough.

It was at idle and cruising down the motorway hitting the magic 70mph that busted me brain in.

Anything after that and was ok.

super progress pal. i went front and rear poly mounts, which was more than enough for my daily driver. other import bits look GREAT too.

Mines grand at speed..idle does me nut in won't change it tho pros out weight the cons..what site you getting them parts off? Did customs get you?

I trawl through yahoo auctions and get a fella in Japan to bid,buy and ship the items to me.
I've been using him for fee years and I haven't had utoms say anything to me. They are second hand parts so don't think they could do much.

Sooo I'm still having problems with this sob so i said i would upload a video so you guys can see what is going on and maybe somebody will have an idea about what's causing it.
Car drove fine when I bought it, no hesitaion or anything and all i did after that was change alternator, and fuel lines in the bay and a new fuel filter and new manifold as flexi in the old one was bolloxed. I have checked all the wiring and it seems fine, the only thing i can think of is the lambda sensor now sits back about 7 inches further back due to the manifold been a GTi item but the wiring is abit short but not stretched and connects fine.
So far i have changed AFM, TPS, Fuel pump and checked for codes and nothing is coming up.
It always seems to happen around 3-4000rpm and as you will see in the video when it gets back to around 2000 it accelerates again.
Sometimes it stalls when i clutch after it dies.
If i accelerate slowly the odd time it might carry on as normal but that's rare. It revs freely then when stationary.
Sorry for the post but it's starting to get on my nerves.
