I have owned my Almera 2.2DCI (136bhp) for just over a year now and just last week my backbox has sheared from the centre pipe. My question here is that I am trying to find a new backbox to fit but can only find ones that are for the 108/110 bhp versions !!!

Any help would be very appreciated.

There appears to be exhausts for the 2.2 on ebay at the very least. Think I might need a new backbox soon, it's looking a bit crusty...

Hi thank you for your response, the first link is one that I previously purchased but told by the seller that it will not fit my car as it isn't for the 136HP almera.

There's only one exhaust layout detailed in the N16 service manual for the YD engine.

But looking here, sure enough there's 2 types, one for the 118hp modal and one for the 136hp model. damn

Thank you very much for the help, that is the reason I have been getting very confused as it shows only one layout in the manual. I have emailed that link to try and sort it out and hopefully be the right one.

I never thought trying to find some parts for this car could be so difficult !

Follow up for you. I just bought the mid-section for the 2.2 dci from Online Automotive. Good price too.
This part was in stock but they have a really good system for viewing each part. Even managed to order the correct exhaust gaskets thanks to the parts diagram.

Also, I checked with CarParts4less.co.uk and they assured me that the backbox they sell fits the 136hp dci model (product code: 705701221).

Not sure if anyone is following this but I have just replaced the rear back box on my '04 N16 2.2 DCi (YD22DDTi) SXE. The 136bhp version.

The correct part is not available off the shelf from generic parts suppliers. The only place to get it was Nissan for over £200.
I've replaced it with the 2.2 136BHP Almera Tino back box. Matches up to the centre pipe with no issue.
I did have to bend a hanger out to fit but I am unsure if that was not bent during transit/storage as it wasn't wrapped up or anything when I received it.
Tino part was £35 + VAT.

I swapped over the stainless steel end piece to the new box and so you can not see the longer pipe when fitted on the car.
