Headlight bulb replacement. (First Car)

Hi, I have he 2004 n16 Almera love my car, its a bit beat up and I haven't looked after it as much and I could have.

I found and joined this forum to find out which bulb i should buy to replace this headlight bulb.

The dealer tried to charge me 30 quid to replace it(After the airbag recall) and halfords said 10 quid for fitting

I was wondering if its easy to do myself and what bulb model/type I need to replace it.

I am not knowledgeable about cars but I built my own PC and I am not afraid of basic DIY.

some information on the headlights of this model and possibly how to replace the bulb DIY would be nice. If not Ill just buy the correct bulb and go to halfords.

Welcome.

Bulbs are an easy job, driver side can be fiddly due to lack of space though.

From memory they are H7 bulbs, I would recommend Osram Nightbreaker Plus, much better light output.

Open bonnet, locate the caps on the back of the headlights, twist to remove it, unclip plug on the bulb, unclip the bulb retaining spring, remove bulb.

Refit is the reverse of removal.
