    Seems like the issue has been resolved! It turned out to be dodgy contacts at the switch. Once I cleaned them up a bit, everything was working again.

    Ah, but does yours have mudflaps? lol. Reading your other thread it appears you have a diesel. Good job keeping it maintained. I just replaced the power steering belt on mine due to it squeaking.

    Welcome. I'm new to the forum too and the Almera itself (1.5 QG15DE). Like you, I'm quite impressed with how the Almera corners. It's not quick, but quick enough. And I'm getting around 32 mpg around town, which I'm not complaining.
