Hi Hally , well when the mech did the diagnostic test the fault came up as a Lambda sensor, he said it was not that imperative to change it as it was not a safety issue and to save my money as he knew i intended to part ex it for another Nissan at a main dealer, he then cleared the fault code...

Is there any method i can try to get rid of the orange engine warning light on a 04 Almera , i did pay out to have it cleared some months back ( was just a code for a sensor) but was hoping i could maybe do it myself.

hi, Hi, i think the service book says to change it at 54,000k , but from messages on this site most owners never seem to have much of a problem and never get it changed unless it gets very noisy ,and as yours has done lots of kilometer's without trouble do not worry about it.

Try using simple "cheapo" spray foam oven cleaner ,spray it all over,it will not damage tyres etc...leave for 5 mins then scrub with one of those green washing up pads ,then wash off. You may need to do it twice to get rid of the muck,etc.

Hi , have a 04 Almera Tino ,a green " service required" warning light is showing on the main console screen ,have gone into INFO then Service Reminder as per the handbook instructions,and attempted to reset / turn off the warning but nowt seems to work,any tips appreciated.

Guess you have maybe sussed it out now, but if not all you do is press in both buttons at the same time for 5 sec's to get it into what Nissan call the " convenience mode " , i have a Tino and thats what worked me me ,you will /should have the type "B" keyfob.
