I text the guy selling it as it was a hour and 45 minute drive away so I didn't want to have a wasted journey. I asked if there was any smoke and he replied and said that the fumes are a little smokey but the engine is fine. Doesn't sound good to me unfortunately, so won't be having a look at it...
