I have the same issue on our N16 Automatic. It is reading 70mph when GPS say 60mph. Tyres are correct size. Would a faulty speed sensor cause this?

steering wheel stereo controls adaptor for new head unit

Clever answer! Saying 'use the search function' isn't exactly helpful is it. You try it and see if you do any better. I did try that first but all I got was the possibility of the micra version working but nobody had actually tried it.

steering wheel stereo controls adaptor for new head unit

As above, I want to fit a new head unit to my N16 as I want to be able to connect a USB drive with my mp3 music on. Is there an adaptor I can buy to still allow me use of the steering wheel controls??? Thanks

    Brakes Juddering?

Pads could be low enough that they over heat, boiling the brake fluid causing the sensation in the pedal that you describe. As above, it could also be warped discs and also a sticky or seized caliper piston. Drive normally for 2 or 3 miles without using the brakes to much. Then, when you have...

    N16 1.5SE Ignition Barrel - a bit notchy

Keys look good. As said, it is much better after some silicon spray ans some vaseline. If I try to turn the key quickly, it will catch every now and then, if I turn the key slowly, it is nice and smooth every time. :D

any idea what my problem is?

oooo, that spinny tappy noise could be the bigends bearings. It almost sounds like a blockage somewhere. As said, if the rngs had gone, the car would be pluming out clouds of blue smoke. Over fueling would be black smoke and head gasket would be white smoke. If you get white smoke on startup...

Hello from 1.5 SE N16 owner!

Cheers for the info amd warm welcome guys. Coming from a very heavy bmw 328i, the almera is a joy to drive. Yes, the 328i was faster but I got fed up with the tail happy rear end, heavy clutch, heavy gearbox, heavy steering and the 23-25mpg! Just out of interest, what sort of mpg do you...

Hello from 1.5 SE N16 owner!

Hi everyone. I have just purchased a 2001 Nissan Almera 1.5SE. I drove one of these when I needed a hire car when they first came out. I have to say that I am pleasently surprised at how fresh my 93k example feels. It has all the gizmos and makes for a very comfortable form of transport. Just...
