All speakers in the GTI are 6.5", simple.

I was going to do that, much like Andrew Smith's but as i'm now going to put the tweeter in the A-Pillar i don't want to have to route cable into the door for the crossover and then back out for the tweeter... so i'm going to install the crossover inside the car, possibly under the dash/glovebox...

Done some more today... Removed the 6.5" speakers in the rear and fitted my new Alpines. Wired them both up and tucked all the cables away behind/under the carpets etc. The 6.5" Alpines are FAR superior to the 6x9" Clarions... the punch and clarity are both much much more refined. Also...

Update. Just fitted the wiring kit... all cables are now routed apart from the speaker cable - i actually ran out so need to buy some more before i can do the front speakers. Got the amp wired up in the boot, although it's just sitting on the boot carpet at the moment not even bolted down...

That's exactly the same as my first P10, but mine was on a M plate. They are fantastic cars, and the do handle very well indeed. In a true driver's opinion i'm sure 99% of them would favour the P10 over an N15... but my personally opinion is still undecided as i enjoy both cars for different...
