All the way from cornwall!

Hey, I thought i'd put up a quick hello. Im Nick and live in Cornwall. I have just today bought a N16 1.5activ 3door X reg in silver to go with my N14 5 door. I have been on the Sunny Owners Club for a while and saw this so now ive bought an almera i thought i'd say hello.

Ill post some pictures when I pick it up at the end of the week.

Cheers Nick

Keeping it in the Nissan family Nick, welcome to the club :)

Cheers, yeah - seeing as I liked my N14 so much I thought that now its on its last legs I will take it off the road and make a project out of it. Bought the N16 and will tastefully improve that at the same time.

Welcome to the club Nick :) My car before this was a 1.5 Activ too. Good runabout.

Welcome to AOC Nick.
I'm in the Sunny Owners club too (B12 coupe), so I recognised the name straight away.
Take care.

Finally picked the almera up, the garage gave it a full mot, 6 mnths tax, 2 new tyres, new pads and discs and will be putting a new cover on the wing mirror this week.

passed mot with 1 advisory (front and udnerside X member rotten)

So I picked up an X reg, 1.5 Activ, FSH, 1 Owner from new, 110k for £1000

1st job is to get that cross member rubbed down & wax-oiled mate, or it will almost definitely fail the next MOT dramatically. It's a known weak spot on N16 models. But she looks pretty clean o/wise :)

The advisory actually said 'front and underside x member rotten' is it too late for wax oiling??

if i replace them what price am i looking at??

Its not that bad, if you take the bumper and lights etc off yourself, order a new panel from somewhere like Beevers or Sel Imperial (crashrepairparts.co.uk), then get a garage to cut the old one off and weld the new one in place :)

ok cheers, ill take it up to the garage near work and get him to check it over. he is fairly good. doesnt charge much and also does all the work trucks.

my next plan subtle mods...
