almera sidelights burning away?

i have had two sets of blue almera 501 bulbs which have burnt out after a few days of use. I heard that if your cars lamp design has the parking light right beside the main lamps (3-5 inches), then installation of the led as parking light is not recommended. I wanted to know whether this is the case for an N16 and if so is there any way around it where i can put white or blue sidelight bulbs in?

Im thinking to try out the 4-led 501's if suitable.

Led's normally last alot longer,most of those other blue bulbs and various types are bad quality.

last set of blue sidelights bulbs i bought went green within a week so bought some leds and couldnt fault them

Phillip bluevision ones have been fine and are matched to the bluevision main beam ones they came with.

shall i just go for the standard 4-leds on ebay or do u guys reccomend n e thing different?

also, i'd like to get blue ones but only if they are road legal?
