Sounds like a major undertaking that engine mate. Looks like you're well underway with parts etc. All the best buddy. Some really nice engine builds going in this year.

So you've bitten the bullet dude!

Good luck with it all. Have you decided who is doing the block and sleeving for you?

With the right header and intake setup, it should see 230whp.

Mad, but awesome.

Keep us updated!

i spy a flaw in the plan.

those apex rods i presume are for an SR20.

which means on the 91mm stroke crank, they will be too long... you need the rods and pistons that came with the crank tbh!

also, 12.5:1 pistons with a 0.8mm head skim will be well over 14:1 compression

but good luck!

Those rods are shorter ones for the crank, and the new pistons will be custom as per specs of the crank

I got it all covered boyo ;)

As for CR im still working on it to be honest, might not even skim the head or get thicker gasket

That spec list is more of a guideline, there's loadsa things missing and loadsa things to take away

better not to skim the head and keep stock head gasket than the other way round. something bout quench zones or something i dont understand

'squish'.
There's thousands of things none of us on here have ever even began to imagine, let alone understand- believe me!

Now, Ammar...
PLEASE .. pleasepleaseplease put a proper head on it !!
If you use a DE head you spend ££££.££ and still have to live with an 8000rpm rev limit.
WHY ?
When you can buy a VE head, Supertech valvetrain and N1 cams all easily and cheaply, then you'll be set for a reliable 9000rpm provided your bottom end is assembled correctly.
