Fast Idle Overide?

Sticking on the air con also activates the fast idle. My basic understanding is that its a wire to the ECU that controls this.

Anyone know how it could exactly be rigged up to a separate switch please?

for what aim? to stop fast idle activating? or so you can turn it on and off at will?

also there are a few wires that do this, headlights, heaters and powersteering switch all activate it

Turn it on at will. With the poly engine mounts it actually judders less with air con in/fast idle.

then why not just up the base idle bud? much easier than messing with wiring looms

Want the option, and not sure when my next mapping session will be mate to be able to do that. Don't forget anything ECU means a trip to Leeds.

then you'll need to find what pin on the ecu it is and stick a multimeter inline and work out if its giving it live or pulling it to ground that sets it off, then replicate that action with your switch, also if you still want the aircon to trigger it you'll need some blocking diodes
