I have hunted high and low but cannot find a vendor who supplies the cable which attaches from the steering stalk to a standard ISO stereo adapter.
How are you guys fitting your stereos , without the stalk?
please help.

In your profile it says N16 Si, which dont exist.

What car have you got?

If its an N15 with the Sony stalk then they only work with Sony stereos with the plug in the back.

If its an N16, then I wouldnt know, but i'm sure some N16 owners would.

I don't use it.

If I could be arsed, I could work out which wire is which on the wiring loom and do it, but I can't - woot.

Apparently the standard player is a pioneer unit, I don't know if this helps.

my head unit is a kenwood, my car's a normal n16. It seems pretty ridiculous that such a stalk doesn't exist, maybe i'll have to get an earlier or later one and try messing with the cables to see what works.. less than ideal, here is a photo of it if that helps.

it can't be rocket science, no its four wires

could be.. although my car is an 2001. It looks right doesn't it though..
I found this doc: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/help/ICTcontrols.pdf
Scroll down to the Nissan section, there's four possibilities. I think theone Hally pointed out is the closest candidate, although at £40 a pop it's a bit of a risk on an unsure thing :D, Is there anyway i can contact Nissan to find out? anyone got a help line number?
thanks for all your help
