head unit trouble

i am trying to replace the original cd player in my almera twister 2002 have the original one out and have plugged in my after market one but it does not power up wires are connected but there is a socket from original one that is not connected to new one not sure what im doing wrong
any help or advice greatly recieved

Can you take a pic? So i can see what plug/socket and colour of wires.
