Hello from South East UK! Bought a fixer upper GTi

HI! Hows it going, recently bought a GTi from a nice chap round the corner. No MOT as failed on sills and a suspension spring. But after getting it on ramps the rest looks mint! Got a few issues like clocks not working and leaky windscreen, but am hoping to restore this awesome car to its former glory! Few pics of the car, and my current run about Micra (done a few bits to that too :) )

The Micra looks great!

Is the GTi a faded standard red or metallic red, color code AP0? Can't wait to see paint restoration magic done on it either way. :)

Be sure to check the "bat caves" in the trunk for rust. What I mean by this are the rear shock towers and surrounding areas behind the interior panels.
 
Standard faded haha, think its ap2, at least that's what I though the vinplate said. Definitely AP something, I hadn't heard of those parts going, I will check now thank you!

And the micra is a great little car, got a 1.6 engine to go in it, but that might have to go on hold as I may have to get rid to fund the fixer upper, undecided yet.
 
Alright, solid stuff anyway! :)

I had an Almera which was AP0, an amazing metallic red color but unfortunately the detailing bug bit me after I scrapped it so I never got to see it in its' full glory.
