HELP! Wiring 5.25" components in my doors??

i got sum jbl components 5.25". i made sum spacers etc. and the only problem im having is the original nissan wiring. i have a phase1 its a 1.4 action model. the speaker wire as like a brown clip on the end to the original speaker but the wire is like all squashed up in this white plastic stuff and ran into the door. can i just strip this to reveal the wires? any help as quickly as any ov u guys can coz i am in the middle of it right now.

i don`t know anyone whose has managed to use the ribbon yet. just run yourself some fresh speaker cables. you will have to drill a small hole through the door so you can route the cable though.

also dont try and run the cable through the block on the door.
IT WONT GO THROUGH IT.

its cool now im sorted. managed to use the original ribbon by soldering wire to it.

i don't recommend using the original ribbon. basically its gonna be rubbish wire and quite possibly have a fairly high resistance.
it is best to run fresh cabling through the door by drilling a hole in it.
