huugoo's P11 from Holland

Hello everyone,

Joe (shaggy_master) talk me into introducing here.

I've become a paying member of the NPOC last spring, so now i've also full access to the AOC forum. I
want to show you guys my Primera. The story started 2,5 years ago when i bought this '97 P11:

Drove it as a daily for a while. After that i wanted to convert it more and more into a trackday car. Still a long way to go, but this is what i've done so far:
K&N 57i kit, for that awesome SR20 grunt:

Took out the Koni/Intrax combo:

Put in some Intrax RS coilovers and P11 GT strutbars:

I also gave the P11 a brake upgrade, S14's in the front, P11-144's in the back, with Goodridge brakelines:

Adjustable QT-link, to centre the rear axle:

Put a repainted camcover on, but not without changing OEM cams for Divalo's:

Took it to the track a couple of times:

Just a little introduction, i think i forgot some things, but they were less inportant i think...

For this year i've put in Cusco camberarms and some Energy Suspension PU bushings.
Next week a 2,5" freeflow catback will be fitted to the car.

Cheers,

Wout from the Netherlands

does this share the same rear axel as the gti by any chance ?

You're pointing in the direction of the QT-link, i guess?
It can be used on all Nissans with this type of rear suspension: P11, N15, N16, A32, A33, etc.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! :)

Lovely P11 mate, and welcome to the club :). Great choice of mods all round, and the Twist wheels are a nice touch.

I've got the QT link to fit too. Can I ask how you set that up please? Trail and error or...? :)

pain in the arse ed

Damn thing should have a double thread and a locking nut so you can adjust it while still attached to the car!

the guide give you an idea of how much to adjust it, I got it spot on first time so tightened it up and left it, havnt checked it since.

I've made a small How-To, it's in the members section @ Nissan Club Nederland forum.
It's also in Dutch, lol.

I'll translate it when i've the time and put it on this forum. :)

Cheers, it was the measurements I was after :thumb:

Step 11. HERE IS THE KEY PART Remember between my wheels have 3mm(0.3 cm) gap
that's why i mention it is important. Since we know Rear Right side wheel extends out 3mm more than Rear Left side wheel. Here is what you have to do 3mm/2=1.5 mm adds up 93+1.5=94.5(9.45 cm)mm

Mine may be slightly different but looking at that car and how low it is at least it gives me a starting point to go from :).

Yellow: Unbolt
White: Bemove from vehicle
Blue: The link you're gonna replace

It's very simple: Messure hom much you axle is offcenter.
Spil the number in half.
Now you know how much longer the adjustable needs to be over the OEM one.

Today i've been to an exhaustshop for a 2,5" mandrel bent system.
Pulls great, sounds awesome!
Some pictures i've made during the fabrication:

I'll try to make a soundclip later this week.

Last weekend i've put on the last ES-bushings.
I've had some great help from a couple of Nissan-minded friends.

We replaced rear trailing arm bushings, front control arm bushings incl. balljoints and finally we swapped out the steeringrack bushings for PU ones.

Defo worth the effort, because it firms everything up a lot. Tomorrow the P11 will be re-aligned.

After that, it's time to take it to the track again.

Some crappy pictures i've made last saturday:
