My N14 tracktool

Here's the build of my N14 GTI converting in to a full trackday car. Car isnt for daily so no holding back.

Bought it pretty much stock:

Only had the Intrax coilovers and a stainless steel exhaust.

First step was removing the interior and the bitumen layer. Then bought 2 raceseats and 6 way harnass:

Also a suede steering wheel with a snap off and added some gauges from VDO and innovate.

Bought a complete set of PU blocks for the suspension:

That made a real difference!

On the rear i now have stock calipers with Yellowstuff pads and OEM discs, for the front im in the progress of making S14 brakes with 300mm discs and StopTech pads:

Defenitly going to do that! The new Lenso rims are almost ready for paint and tyres!

Always nice to see another sunny. Looks to be in quite good condition? Ive just spent a day under mine trying to sort out some of the rust!

There have been some rust repairs by the previous owner. When the bitumen was smacked away there was a little rusty part and a small hole on the floorpanel at the drivers feet. Hoping to get that fixxed soon.
Your Sunny is also really nice, im really jealous on your rollcage and love the GRP parts!

Not a lot to update about my N14, working on the rims to get them painted and still need to drill the 300mm brakediscs.

Mine has gone in the same place. Keep an eye on the right hand rear arch and turret its a common rot spot. My cage is a bit ott to be honest, I was intending on using the car for track racing when i started building it but for sprints and hillclimbs its overkill. Vss irvine on this site now has all the moulds for the grp panels if your interested.

Last weekend did some work on the Sunny:

New yellow tow hook, instead of the big OEM one on the rear:

Hoping to fit the brakes soon, the tire's will arrive this week and everything i need for the swap is ready to go!

Hi there, nice project... getting interesting, will be watching this.

I also run 300mm discs from an Impreza, with a 5mm spacer on the back of them... together with 4 pot calipers also from impreza. And a P11 2.0 turbodiesel MC, wich is same size as the 300zx TT Z32, and almost plug and play. And goodridge lines.

They´re awesome and confidence inspiring. Love them.

Thats also a nice front brake setup, groundscraper. Im using a Primera P11 GT mastercilinder

Yesterday the front brakes got under the Sunny, with the new lenso's to fit the brakes:
