I'm setting this up to store technical info on what N15s have which engine etc. If you have any corrections or additions then please post them up!

UK N15 Almeras

Si
3 and 5 door
FWD
GA14DE Engine
1.4 L (1392 cc) 16V DOHC fuel injection engine. Bore x stroke (mm): 73.6 x 81.8. It produces 64 kW (87 PS) @6000 rpm and 116 N·m (86 lb·ft) @4000 rpm. Redline is at 6595 rpm.

SRi
3 and 5 door
FWD
GA16DE Engine
1.6 L (1597 cc) 16V DOHC fuel injection engine. It produces 98 bhp (76 kW) and 100 lb.ft.


GTi
3 door only
FWD
Strut braces fitted front and rear, suspension is stiffer than other models and features longer inside stud on front to accomodate strut brace, phase 2 gti springs and shocks are of a different design.
Front: Phase 1 has a lower spring seat than Phase 2
Rear: Phase 1 has a larger diameter spring than Phase 2.
SR20DE Engine
2.0 L (1998 cc) 16v DOHC fuel injection engine. It produces 142bhp.
This version of the SR20DE is the lowport, roller rocker type. Block is 53J.

The GA15DE is an 1.5 L (1497 cc) engine with DOHC and single point electronic fuel injection. Bore and stroke are 73.6 mm (2.90 in) and 88 mm (3.5 in). It produces 105 hp (78 kW) @6000 rpm and 135 N·m (100 ft·lbf) @4000 rpm.

SR-V
5 Door with roof bars, tailgate mounted spare tyre, often two tone paint.
4WD
Suspension setup on rear is different to 2WD N15 and similar to RNN14 GTiR
GA15DE
The GA15DE is an 1.5 L (1497 cc) engine with DOHC and single point electronic fuel injection. Bore and stroke are 73.6 mm (2.90 in) and 88 mm (3.5 in). It produces 105 hp (78 kW) @6000 rpm and 135 N·m (100 ft·lbf) @4000 rpm.

The SR18DE is a 1.8 L (1838 cc) DOHC engine. It produces 125 PS (92 kW) @6000 rpm and 156 nm @4800 rpm

The 1.6 L (1596 cc) with NEOVVL variable valve timing with lift control. It produces 175 PS (129 kW) @7800 rpm and 119 ft·lbf (161 Nm) @7200 rpm. Redline is at 8300 rpm.

2.0 L (1998 cc) 175PS @ 6800rpm
 
SRV's also come with SR20DE (150PS) & SR18DE, 4WD, 5MT or 4AT.

Pulsar/Suuny Lucino Autech, SR20DE (Autech Tuned 175PS @ 6800rpm), 2WD, 5MT.
 
Balls, forgot that thread even existed! Sorry Alan. I guess if this one is dedicated to mechanical differences then it wont step on the others toes too much.

Its cool I wasnt saying it was stepping on toes, its free info, I just wondered if youd remembered it or not, you could re do it if you want and merge with this. Though I think its something that would be better as a PDF and not a thread as it would be easier to search that way
 
P1 and P2 GTi suspension differs as follows:

Front: P1 has a lower spring seat than P2
Rear: P1 has a larger diameter spring than p2.

Thus you can swap whole struts over from P1 to P2 and vice versa, you can't just swap shock or springs.

The rear strut brace does notactually bolt to the strut tops, but to the turrets above them.
