N15 speaker panels, removable how?

Just got my 'mera today, and would like to upgrade the stereo. However those panels in front sure is tight! Almost like they never was meant to be removed. Do you have to take off the whole door panel? Seems like a bad idea to me.

yes the whole panel mate!...thats why they wont move....lol!

hmm... didn't think it would be that much work... Oh well. On all my other cars the speaker panels were easily removable by themself, so I had to ask...

its easy mate. few screws round the the bottom of the door trim, D/C the electric window, remove the door handle (inside) trim and take out the screw in the hole where you put your hand to close the door, then just lift up.....done. Your gonna need spacers tho if you want to put any speakers in there

I've yet to rip mine out - what size/shape are the standard fronts?

I never needed spacers for my one i had some kicker for the front.

i couldnt get mine in as the magnet hit on the door. depends what speakers you get i suppose.

ok then thx for the advice i just look at my speaker and it was rather thin. looks like i am sticking with the Kicker speakers on the front till i get time to mod it
