N16 Se heater motor stopped working

Has anyone aver had this before? My heater fan has stopped working on all speeds.
My first thought was the heater resistor card, but when I looked underneath at the motor I saw a blank where a heater resistor card should be and a weird black box with loads of wires going into it.

I don't know if the black box is like a new more complicated version of a traditional heater card of even if this is my problem. I've taken pics to show what I mean.

Can anyone help?

It's the auto amp box that controls the climate control in your car.

A member recently had this problem and it was another component that failed @Mad Maru

Yep as said via pm check under the drivers footwell there is a silver hedgehog looking resistor that according to the stealership is a common fault if the heater unit is operated with the vents closed as it overheats and blows. Once removed you will see if it has gone or not.
