What are the best rca cables to use for quality in a car?

I'm not bothered about volume but i'm currently working on an install with the best quality I can get, as i'm very picky.

So far ive got some VIBE flat power cables, a VIBE Exact 8 sub, some of the new VIBE components (best ive ever heard, recommended to anyone) and some kenwood 6x9's.

Also, does anyone have any recommended amps?

And...... sound deadening for cars, where do i get it from?

Hope someone can help,

Cheers Swanny

I was wondering this too What RCAs are the best and what Speaker Cables are the best too. Any brand in perticular or any will do ?

Depends what speakers and amp your running really in the way that cables go, i dont see the point in good quality cable on poor speakers or amps.

Install's coming along a treat! My boss has just tidied out his garage so i'm finding all sorts of stuff for free :D

I have a
Pioneer Mono
Ground Zero 4 Channel amp (quite a good am)
and i am getting a Sony 2 channel amp
PG Speakers
Kicker Speakers
Ground Zero Speakers
Pioneer 12" sub all decent stuff :)

I'm nowhere near an expert on car audio and electronics, but i'm coping. I'm a massive vibe fan though :D

not a big fan of vibe but i must admit that the sub boxs are mint :) the look the part and play the part. I have a decent system and i need a better head unit i am looking for another pioneer off ebay :)

Its ok for some, I havent got a head unit at the moment, using my dvd player

Whenever ive been at car shows, vibe seems to be the only company that can produce accurate bass, without that annoying vibration that some other subs create

I'm sure a lot of the competition would disagree with you there.....

I use a mixture of Alpine, Infinity, JL, Soundstream and Diamond and mine sounds luurverly :thumb:

With regards to cables, don't pay over the odds from a car audio place. There is a lot to be said for buying speaker cable from a home hifi shop, Richer Sounds for example can do 189 strand for not a lot/mtr.

I have to admit, when I saw this post when you first posted up, I didnt bother replying because of your Vibe fetish, without trying to sound like a stuck up SQ tosser, but vibe are quite ordinary, and their subs aren't all that
The box design to get maxium noise out of paper thin small magnat subs are top notch though, but they have no ability to play real bass notes, for instance, if you try to listen to some alternative style music, or anything with a bass guitar in, all you will get off a vibe sub is one long tone.

Regards to cabling though, what ollie says is right, I just look at the cable before I buy it, you want them to be thick, with lots of really thin strands, and a good thickness of plastic round them, most decent RCA's will also have a wire inbetween to earth, or mine are the twisted variety that have a rubber wire twisting through the centre.

I'm open to anything really, but i do like vibe. I have to admit though, i'm going to have to differ for music with gentle bass in, as the vibe sub does seem to exagerate the bass a little. The speaker cable i'm using has a rubber tube running through the middle of it. Seems to be good quality stuff!

try blocking the port with a bung, its the port that makes the sub sound louder/work easier
a sealed sub is more musical

my diamond M3 is in a sealed box and sounds sweet but can still bang it out when needs be (like when the girlfriend is giving me ear ache ;) )
