Ross Autech

Price between them vary much?

Does sound healthy Ross, but is the gti maff really 70mm vs 40mm for autech one.. didn't look like that much difference to me when you had them held up.

The autech one had tape round it. Kinda made it look bigger. I had to pack it out to fit the gti intake pipe to make the swap over easier on the day. But yeah. Internal diameter of the autech / egt / sunny gti / serena maf is 40ish mm. As opposed to the 70ish of the gti.

^ But can travel as far as Holland for rolling road mapping sessions i believe..
I think he is based in Enfield North London, from what I can remember.
Nice result Ross and looking forward to seeing what this gets up the 1/4 mile if that's your next aim.

Nos : for ref...
Im based predominantly most of the time @ Hayes Engineering (DynoTech) DA81QL and on occasion I have to go to Motorworx SL71LW... but ill be listing all dyno contact points on my weblog under http://fctuning.com (front page scroll down to the right under the small heading FC DYNOS)

but yes I do get asked to travel if their is a minimum no of engines/ecus to prep n tune ..Simply SEE 'EVENTS' on my website as I do update this regularly... its about to get another update later this afternoon.

Thanks for your interest

Lol, was just about to type that exact same thing,

I think a good tunner, dyno, mapping session, healthy engine all help as well.

Engine Health and Prep is important.... MOST important, otherwise you cannot tune anything. So many people bring cars down that they expect me to work magic on.. in some cases I've had to be blunt and say leave the car as its simply not prepped right for tuning..

I may get around to doing a CHECKLIST when I update my TECH page.. I had one on my old site but I've not done one on the new one.. This I feel may help the less experience novice enthusiast.. Something else to do... Good prepping saves Dyno Time and Time naturally costs.

175? on a Dastek maybe ;)

rest assured its not Rich David... ;)

is a Dastek ";)" worst than a DynoDynamics? reason, i know little about each however its sounds like you're implying one is better than the other? seems an odd thing to say, when most folks know would agree any dyno is primarily a tuning tool and the same dyno should be used when comparing engine upgrades anyways.

Did he say that? Smells like you are reading between the lines looking for an argument to me.

We all know DD's read "low" compared to other dyno's, maybe Dasteks over-read that's all he said.
