Refurbishing my 2004 N16 Almera

Hello everyone.
I'm John, I'm from Cork, Ireland.

I have 2004 N16 Almera I bought in 2014. I used it daily until about 2021 when I retired it due to failing the NCT on account of worn out brakes. since then it had been languishing in my yard turning green and getting mouldy.

Every once in a while I'd fire it up and give it a spin around the local botharíns when there's no traffic on the road. Still runs like perfect.

My plan is to refurbish it to roadgoing condition.
Work already done....
- Replace front brake pads & discs, clean and relube caliper slides
- refirbish rear axle, replace rear brake shoes, clean, derust and paint all rear axle components in funky colours to make the job a bit more interesting

Jobs still to do....
- clean, rust proof and paint rear underbody such looks to have rust starting to set in.
- revive and paint exhaust to rust proof
- dismantle front end and treat rust starting in around rad and front cross member.
- replace sump as old one has pinhole oil leak from rust.
- detail.

I've travelled the country in this and I will be in it again before the end of the year.

I'll try keep you guys updated on progress.
