Car is looking good
Spent a fair bit of time on my bargain Almera today. Have to say after a spell of autoglym and some wheel acid on the alloys it came up very good.
It had a small front end bump so I set to work on it straightening the wing. Got a new indicator unit from the scrappy (fiddly mofo too with that stupid ball clip thing on it) and chucked it on. Needs the bumper off and straightened better but have to say I was very impressed.
Its done 107k and runs very sweet. O/S driveshaft is clicking, so need to look into that. Hoping its just a CV boot as there is grease on the back of the alloy.
The tailgate has some rust, so I attacked that too. A hole appeared, so I just rubbed the rust back and gave it a quick coat of primer and paint (Citroen Saxo Quartz silver...............it almost matches lol but its all I had for now)
Been quoted £25 for a new tailgate from the scrappie so maybe replace it.
