2003 1.5 SE - CD Player Removal

Hi

Please help...

I have been looking for weeks and weeks to find out information about the removal of my cd player from my Almera (which has the large monochrome center screen which controls all of the car's functions (climate control, CD player and trip computer).. I need to take it out as the CD I have in it is stuck in and won't eject.

Can someone please let me know how to remove the CD Player section of the factory fitted system... as I am sick of listening to the same disc!!!

iirc, from when I had my N16 3 years ago, remove the screen surround 1st (just unclips), then the button surround, (I think the gear surround has to come off too) then you should see the screws that hold the buttons in place, remove these, then you can remove the screws that hold the CD player in place.

Others will be able to go into more detail, but I think that`s the basic answer. :)
