33mph display question

i have a 2005 almera SX. at the top left of my aircon/cd display screen (type B according to my manual) it says 33mph. i can find no reference in the owners manual as to what this indicates. the figure 33 never changes, so it doesn't appear to have anything to do with my speed etc. i am just curious as to what it indicates & what it is for....

any bright ideas?

try holding down the button that changes the menu (info I think) and hold it to reset it. it will reset and then drive arround and it will go back.

I've got an SXE and the only thing I can think that it might be is your average speed. Mine appears in Info tho and not top left of the screen all the time! Sorry I cant be more helpful.

Don't have the trip computer thing in mine so just guessing here but maybe a typo in the computer firmware and is meant to be MPG? Average fuel consumption? I'd have though average speed would change a bit more often but average MPG would be calculated over a greater timescale.

thanks for the replies. i did wonder about MPG as well..... i will have another play with the buttons and see if anything changes. ;)

I don't think its anything you got to worry about to be honest should read something I never noticed my one can't be bothered to check. all I know is that I get 25MPG around town and a lot more on the motorway. (apparently the 1.5's get 27.7 extra urban or something like that) also there is a petrol thing that tells you how many miles you will get till you need to fill up and etc etc
