Hope you can help me :)

If i was u i would remove the black strips and then tint your windows all of the back ones
drop the ride and change the grille and if u have the money get some a Ph1 Bumper and respray your back one

i think if you swapped your lights, all round with mine it would look much better. go on, you know you want to.

Can u get side skirts for a 5 door model?? If i can get some cheap 17's that may also be a possibility...

Currently on process of getting car repaired as i an accident, f***n OAP not indicating on M6 and then stopping in front of me !@$$%!!!!

wat would you reccomend to lowering it a lil??

lower and yes skirts do fit 5dr. i think its p1 gti fit but p2 are a little longer iirc for some reason.

Cool, how much roughly and where from could i get these skirts?? Whats installation like?? Easy enough??

Yeah but insurance will take the piss because its been modded and it will nor look right the 3 doored window is massive compaired to the 5 Doored ones

Please people, sensible ideas!!!! WTF?!?!? Weld my doors?!?!?!?
lol there was a cream and red fiesta at donny which had smoothed over most of the rear door and made new hinges for it...

keep the five doors but remove rear handles

thats a good idea my mates just had his civic done and had hes rear handels removed looks really good.

Are they rear disc brakes??? if so paint the calipers red front and back it will look good only costs about £5 for a tin of Hamerite. Cheap mods!!

Cool, il check out the disk brakes and paint em sometime, also on that 5 door mera you just showed me, what front bumper did u av??

its SRi mate.

If i had a full re-spray, i wouldnt weld the door but i would look at welding over the rear side window that does nothing!LOL

Always a possibility!

not bad, i aint up for no complex mod's with a car like an almera, i jus want to do a few minor changes to improve the all round appearence. I think some bigger aloys, if i can get some cheap ones from somewhere.... and painting the calipers.... and maybe a sportier bumper...and some side skirts...

well what about inexpensive mods to begin with such as a bee sting aerial and deglobing the front indicators, clear side repeaters too. Btw deglobing transforms the fromt end. ;)

Skirts will fit, but not a straight fit. The Lips will need to be chopped to fit

How hard is it to deglobe??

piece of piss mate, oven method by far the easiest way to go like.i hope blackpoolmera dont mind me quoting him but its exactly what i did and it worked.

There was a previous thread on this topic but looks like its been removed.
I thought about breaking it out on mine and changed my mind very quickly.
It will take you a lot of time and effort to do that.
Also taking the risk of scratching the lens.Have you seen how thick the globe is?
I have recently done mine using the oven method, its all about patience and breaking the seal a bit at a time
All ovens are of course different, you decide what temperature you feel comfy with but be realistic.
I finally did it a few weeks ago and it was a piece of piss.
When it was in the oven I also didnt take my eyes off the lens for a second.Wrong temperature and too much time in the heat and your lens will be going in the bin.

Heres what I did,
My fan assisted oven was set on 50.
Push the lens in the light by using your thumb(this will make sense later)
I put it in oven,waited 1 minute.
Took it out, felt how hot it was.
Needed more,another minute.
Used small flathead driver and pryed the plastic clips upward to enable the lens to move and gave the base a bit of a twist with the screwdriver to see if it would budge.
Also dont pry on the vunerable corners of the lens or it will crack.
I put it back in for a minute.
After about 5 minutes, and three more times out,the seal had been ready to stretch.
Ones you can pry the lens from the base about an inch, then hold both pieces with your hands and open. There will be gunky sealant stuff!
Now if the globe was still in its original position then you would have to mess about pushin it in at this point.Plus you could get that black gunky seal everywhere .Not to mention the sealant is cooling now obviously.
Because the globe has been pushed out of its base before putting in the oven, this will enable you to partially open it up and scoop the globe bit out very quickly.
Once out, press both bits together again then put it in the oven for another minute.
Take it out, really press them together then let cool.
Worked for me mate.
Good cheap mod to do though and looks better.
Just dont forget you will need a new bulb as the ones in there are white.
Hope this helps.
Result :D

hope this can help, if not there are a few other ways if ya just "search" on here for de-globing and you'll see.
